Introduction

The multi-medium filter can use one or several filter media to effectively remove suspended impurities from the water with high turbidity. It can make the water with high turbidity pass through the granular or non-granular material of a certain thickness under a certain pressure, so as to effectively remove the suspended impurities and make the water become clear. Commonly used filter materials include quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand, etc., which is mainly used for water treatment turbidity removal, softening water, pure water pretreatment, and the effluent turbidity can reach 3 degrees below.

Features

The equipment is mainly composed of tank body, water distribution system, water collection system, filter material layer, diaphragm (plate), water cap, supporting layer and internal supporting pipes, etc., and external connection with raw water inlet, clean water outlet, backwash drainage and other main pipes and its matching control valve, pressure gauge, sampling valve.

1)The filter area is large, the flow rate is high, the operation effect is good, and the packing cost is low.

2)The use of double filter material can reduce the running resistance.

3)Filter material has features of strong corrosion resistance, high porosity, large fouling capacity, moderate density, and easy backwash.

4)Filter main material: stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, Q235 carbon steel, Q235 carbon steel lining rubber.

5)Single filter flow rate is 0.5~200T/h.

Working Principle

Multi-medium filter (also known as mechanical filter) is a filter with layers of anthracite, sand, fine crushed garnet or other materials as the filter bed. The top layer of the filter bed consists of the lightest and coarsest grades of material, while the heaviest and finest grades of material are placed on the lower part of the bed. The principle is to filter by depth: larger particles in the water are removed at the top layer and smaller particles are removed in the deep part of the filter medium so that the water quality meets the standard after crude filtration.

The equipment is pressure type, the principle is that when the raw water passes through the filter material from top to bottom, the suspended matter in the water is intercepted by the surface of the filter layer due to adsorption and mechanical blockage; When the water flow into the middle of the filter layer, because the sand in the filter layer is more closely arranged so that the particles in the water have more chances to collide with the sand, so the surface of the water flocculation, suspended matter and sand particles adhere to each other, then the impurities in the water are intercepted in the filter layer, so as to get the clarified water quality.The content of suspended matter in filtered water can reach less than 5mg/l.
